Nirvana’s album ‘Nevermind’ was released in 1991. Remember this cover?
Well, that little swimmin’ kid is 17 now! Yes my friends it has been a child’s lifetime since ‘Nevermind’ was released.
This kid’s all grown up, Kurt Cobain is dead, and there still isn’t another band like Nirvana out there.
This movie is the best! Let me clarify by saying that I see anything and everything regardless of quality. This movie appears to be a piece crap on the outiside, but look under the hood and you will find a great rock parody. This is a movie for anyone who listened to Led Zeppelin when they were fourteen and thought, if even for a second, that they were rocking out. Jack Black and Kyle Gass go on an epic rock journey as Tenacious D. and along the way they meet a motley crew , including: Tim Robbins as a crippled danish rock junkie in search of the Pick of Destiny, John C. Reilly in a cameo as Sasquatch, and Dave Grohl, of the Foo Fighters, takes a turn as SATAN. Tenacious D riffs us through rock mythology: from faux medieval legend, to Robert Johnson at the Crossroads, and on to Charlie Daniels with the Devil in Georgia If you liked This Is Spinal Tap and thought Rock Star missed the boat, then Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny is for you.
